Company Profile
TSUBOUCHI TOWEL started manufacturing towels in 1928. We are one of the oldest towel manufacturers in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture, known as a center of towel production.
Although we had to suspend production for a time, in 2001, we launched our flagship brand, Plantia, using organic cotton, driven by our strong desire to create the best towels with our own hands.
Our deep passion for towels inspires us to craft products that cannot be found anywhere else. We deliver the finest Japanese-made towels, combining traditional weaving techniques with innovative washing methods.

Message from the CEO
In 2000, Tsubouchi Towel resumed production of towels. I was inspired by the passion for towels of my mentor, Gen Miyazaki, and it led me to pursue the creation of high-quality towels (the best towels) with my own hands.
We are dedicated to achieving what we believe to be the best towels, regardless of whether the technology is new or old. Although it may seem unproductive or inefficient, we have made the choice to use organic materials and organic finishes.
We will continue to craft towels that meet the needs of those who are particular about their towels, as they are an essential part of daily life.
Takashi Tsubouchi
